By booking any service with Pick To Play Guitar, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

1. About the Business

Pick To Play Guitar operates as a UK sole trader.

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

2. Services Provided

Pick To Play Guitar offers:

  • One-to-one guitar lessons (in-home or online)

  • Structured beginner and restart programmes

  • Short courses and packages (where offered)

  • Online tuition via video call

  • Limited support between sessions (package dependent)

We do not offer:

  • Music examinations or qualifications

  • Formal conservatoire-style tuition

  • Professional performance coaching

3. Bookings & Payment

  • Full payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed

  • Bookings are confirmed once payment has been received

  • Prices are those advertised at the time of booking or agreed in writing

  • Payments are processed securely via third-party providers or direct bank transfer

  • Any unjustified payment disputes or chargebacks may be contested

4. Lessons & Packages

  • Lessons are typically 45 minutes unless otherwise agreed

  • Packages are sold as block bookings

  • Sessions should normally be taken in consecutive weeks

  • All sessions must be used within the agreed timeframe

  • Learning outcomes cannot be guaranteed and depend on individual practice and commitment

5. Travel & Location

  • Lessons may take place at the client’s home, online, or at an agreed location

  • A travel supplement may be charged outside the standard service area

  • Any additional charges will be confirmed in advance

6. Cancellations, Refunds & Missed Sessions

  • Once booked, sessions are non-refundable

  • Missed sessions cannot normally be rescheduled

  • A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required for cancellations

  • Late cancellations may be charged in full

  • If Pick To Play Guitar cancels a session, it will be rescheduled where possible

7. Force Majeure

Pick To Play Guitar shall not be liable for delays or cancellations caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control, including illness, extreme weather, transport disruption, or emergencies.

Alternative arrangements will be offered where possible.

8. Student Responsibility & Participation

Students agree to:

  • Attend lessons punctually and prepared

  • Practise regularly between sessions

  • Follow guidance provided during lessons

  • Inform the tutor of any relevant health or physical issues

Pick To Play Guitar is not responsible for lack of progress due to insufficient practice or engagement.

9. Equipment & Materials

  • Students are responsible for providing their own guitar and basic accessories

  • Advice on purchasing equipment can be provided on request

  • Pick To Play Guitar is not responsible for damage to personal equipment

10. Health, Safety & Physical Considerations

  • Playing guitar may involve mild physical strain

  • Students should inform the tutor of any injuries or medical conditions

  • Lessons should not be attended if the student is unwell

Pick To Play Guitar is not liable for injuries caused by undisclosed conditions.

11. Limitation of Liability

Pick To Play Guitar shall not be held liable for any loss, damage, or injury arising from lessons, except where required by law.

Students remain responsible for their own safety and property during sessions.

12. Photography & Video

  • Photos or videos may be taken for promotional purposes

  • These will only be used with permission, unless agreed otherwise

  • Students may not record lessons without prior consent

13. Online Lessons & Remote Support

  • Online lessons are delivered via agreed platforms

  • Technical issues outside our control are not the responsibility of Pick To Play Guitar

  • Limited support between sessions is subject to fair usage

  • Remote support is not available for urgent matters

14. DBS & Professional Standards

Pick To Play Guitar holds a current DBS check and provides lessons in a professional, respectful environment.

15. Insurance

Pick To Play Guitar holds appropriate:

  • Public Liability Insurance

  • Professional Indemnity Insurance

17. Changes to These Terms
